Latest On Mariah May's Departure From AEW & Likely Jump To WWE

Mariah May's name was taken off of AEW's online roster page earlier today and reports immediately emerged that she was gone from the company and headed to WWE.

Fightfulselect.com reports that May's contract with AEW was two years in length and the two sides weren't going to come to any sort of agreement on a new deal, effectively making her a free agent. Further to that, AEW had no creative plans for quite a while which was another big sign that she was headed out. Many were surprised that AEW signed May to only a two-year contract without any option years.

On Friday afternoon, May's representatives claimed that despite her removal from AEW's roster page, her contract with the promotion had no expired as of today, which probably is a technicality if the belief is true that it expires at the end of the month. While not confirmed, it is also believed that May has signed on with Paradigm, a talent rep company that has recently began working with a multitude of WWE stars. Sources noted that while they weren't able to negotiate or comment on her status, there has long been interest within WWE circles of signing her if and when she became available.
