As previously reported, WWE legend Brock Lesnar, known as "The Beast Incarnate," seemingly retired following his loss to "The Ruler" Oba Femi, which marked the beginning of night two at WrestleMania 42 this past weekend. Lesnar left his gloves and boots in the ring and appeared emotional as he departed with WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman, whom he hugged. WWE also aired a career retrospective video for Lesnar during both RAW and SmackDown.
According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, many people within WWE believe that this may not be Lesnar’s "true" retirement, but no one has confirmed this. The report mentioned that they were explicitly instructed to treat it as an angle, coming from the same source that previously indicated that Seth Rollins’ injury last year was a storyline.
Furthermore, the report states that Lesnar's creative plans are typically kept secret, and many expected his retirement to occur at SummerSlam, which will be held in Minneapolis, a city where Lesnar has deep ties. However, the report does not definitively state whether the retirement is part of an angle and does not suggest that it is. As of now, WWE has not specifically used the term "retire" in relation to Lesnar.
