Latest Update On WWE's Plans For WrestleMania 40 Main Event

-- Cody Rhodes won his second consecutive Royal Rumble match last night, setting him up for another crack at reigning WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns as he attempts to complete his story. However, speculation has continued on the direction WWE will go for the WrestleMania main event considering strong hints that The Rock is also set to challenge Reigns likely at the same event. On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer shed some insight into the situation.

-- According to his report, Cody wrestling Reigns in a singles match is booked for the show, however, a Rock vs. Reigns match is also going to happen, however he stated he doesn't know when and where that may happen. He also noted that he "can't talk about (it)", but the match is definitely going to go down at some point and while not mentioned by him, there is also the possibility that Reigns could wrestle on both nights of WrestleMania 40. What we do know for sure is that despite previous rumors, Reigns vs. Rock is not going to happen at February's Elimination Chamber event in Perth, Australia as Reigns is not scheduled to be wrestling there.
