Latest On WWE Bringing WrestleMania To Saudi Arabia; When Announcement Is Expected

WWE is set to bring WrestleMania to Saudi Arabia in 2027 in a move that has yet to be announced by the company though it was prematurely revealed by the Saudi General Entertainment Authority and then quickly yanked.

In an update, pwinsiderelite.com reports that an official announcement is going to be released Friday in Las Vegas when top TKO officials are in town for the Canelo fight as well as WWE-AAA Worlds Collide.

For those wondering whether this will be the actual WrestleMania event that WWE holds every March-April or a gimmicked supershow (similar to "The Greatest Royal Rumble" that WWE held in Saudi Arabia several years ago), it will indeed be for WrestleMania 43. As is usually the case with events held in Saudi Arabia, expect several major legends to be brought in.

Dave Meltzer at f4wonline.com reported that the Saudis are inevitably going to be throwing a lot of money to make this event a success and will likely be looking at bringing in wrestlers out of retirement to compete or at the very least compete. He also noted that the reason the country pushed hard to have WrestleMania in 2027 is because in 1727, the first Saudi state was established and so it will be the 300th year anniversary of that.
