The Lawcast - WWF This Tuesday in Texas Was The Snake's Finest Moment

Welcome, boys and and girls, to another episode of the Lawcast! On this lovely holiday week, we'll be bringing you not one, but TWO episodes as we do every year, and the first one is of one of the weirder concepts of early 90s WWE: This Tuesday in Texas.

Functionally used to test the market for Tuesday PPVs (a concept Vince is weirdly infatuated with) this also served as a quick way to get the belt off of Undertaker after they put it on him as an emergency backup situation. But while those things may be true, the true purpose of this show is to show you the true potential of Jake Roberts as a heel, as he unleashes one of the great heel performances in wrestling history.

Also, the Warlord is here!

Hey guys! If you haven't joined our the Lawcast Patreon yet, here's a look at what's new:

We now have FIVE bonus episodes available to our donors, including a look at the rarely seen original pilot of Smackdown, an episode of So You Think You Can? where Steve is forced to try to fix the many, many issues with Starrcade 97, and we just released an episode of The 90s Sports podcast, something that started as a joke, but that people actually gave us money because they wanted to listen to it. You guys are weird and we love you. We also have an episode where Cewsh takes his turn in the booking chair and will try to fix the calamitous mess of ECW December to Dismember. Our newest episode is a recap of the past decade in wrestling, with a focus on the big picture stuff. How did WWE go from a monopoly to having actual competition? What sparked the women's revolution? What caused New Japan to become the freight train it is today? And what does the next decade hold in store?

Think of it as hiring us for a job where you only pay us $2.50 an hour. I'm pretty sure that's not even legal, but we'll just keep it between us.

Also, we have finally found a way to meet the request that we get the most often, and we finally now have a full archive for the Lawcast where you can go and listen to us talk about Sid for nearly 100 episodes. In the future we'll have playlists up there to make it easier to navigate, but for now we've got the whole deal there for the taking. Enjoy!
