Lio Rush Talks About Working For Promotions Outside Of AEW, If It Comes Up In Talks With Tony Khan

Lio Rush recently appeared as a guest on the Fightful podcast for an in-depth interview covering all things pro wrestling.

During the appearance on the popular sports entertainment website, the AEW and NJPW star spoke about whether or not working for other wrestling promotions comes up in conversation with AEW President Tony Khan.

Featured below is an excerpt from the interview where he touches on this topic with his thoughts.

“Surprisingly no. It doesn’t come up in conversation a lot. You’ve seen so many people in AEW work all these other places. I think it’s just where we are at in wrestling right now where it’s just exciting times. You’re seeing so many people pop up in different places and you never know who’s going to show up where announced or unannounced.”

“I think that’s the part about wrestling that the fans are so excited about. A show can be fully sold out already without even having to name particular people, and you can just be going to that show and see somebody just show up, and that’s super cool. You’ve seen all these guys and girls pop up in other places.”

“I think it’s pretty well known that Tony is excited about his pool of talent, and I think as long as we’re being safe, as long as we’re doing good business, it’s good business for AEW, it doesn’t come up a lot. Normally, it’s just, ‘Hey, I got this show coming up? Is this cool?’ ‘Yea, as long as it doesn’t run into anything’, which is common. So it’s pretty cool. It’s pretty exciting.”
