-- It looks the report of AEW moving their upcoming Grand Slam PPV to a different, smaller venue is true. An email was sent to ticket holders who had purchased seats advising them that the event has been relocated from Suncorp Stadium to the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. While the two locations are only about 30 minutes apart, the stadium seats over 50,000 people while the centre holds 13,500. Anyone who purchased tickets to the PPV will receive new seats electronically.
-- The move from a stadium to an arena comes after reports indicated that tickets were not moving as well as expected though AEW President Tony Khan downplayed any concerns and suggested that "thousands" of seats were sold. It also comes after another story which indicated that AEW is planning on running smaller, more intimate venues in 2025 rather than old practice of holding shows at large venues and then scaling down.
