Location for Survivor Series; WWE Hoping for Another Major Show With An Appearance By The Rock

-- This year’s Survivor Series is scheduled to be held in Brooklyn, according to Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast as well as the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Like they are doing with SummerSlam, WWE hopes to push this PPV as a “major show” and to that end, they are hoping to bring in Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson for some sort of appearance. While that isn’t locked in by any means, WWE wants The Rock to appear at some point in that timeframe which would obviously then lead to a storyline that would culminate in a match against Roman Reigns next year at WrestleMania. With the window of opportunity of Johnson to wrestle getting smaller with each passing year, he would want to come back and set a box office record and the two places that could happen are AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX - the site of WrestleMania 38 - or SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA - the site of WrestleMania 39. Internally, WWE is shooting for Rock vs. Reigns next year.
