Major League Soccer is shifting its production operations to the Studios at WWE in Stamford, Connecticut.
This new move will encompass a range of MLS content creation, including all studio work for MLS Season Pass (the league's Apple TV streaming service), live match graphics production for over 600 games annually, social media content, and additional material for the league’s distribution partners.
According to MLS Executive VP of Media, Seth Bacon, the primary goal of relocating to this advanced facility is to streamline operations. “The idea is to bring everyone together under one roof so they can collaborate closely, focusing on creating content at a higher level of quality,” Bacon told Sports Business Journal. “Then, we’ll figure out how to maintain that high standard while scaling production efficiently, eliminating redundant work, and ensuring everyone is working toward one unified objective: crafting compelling narratives.”
The Studios at WWE, which spans 30,000 square feet and features five dedicated production studios, opened its doors in April 2024. This new hub is expected to be a key part of MLS’s long-term content strategy, especially as the league enters into a 10-year partnership with Apple for distribution.
