Former WWE Star and current IMPACT Star Matt Cardona, who has competed in a number of Indie wrestling promotions over the past several years, recently made an appearance on the Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast to speak about topics such as when he found out he was winning the WWE Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania 32 and how just being in the match was already a win for him.
Matt Cardona said:
“Just being in that match was a win for me. Just to have a WrestleMania entrance and to see my name in a WrestleMania program … it was cool. Then days before [the show], they told me I was gonna win.”
Matt Cardona also spoke about how winning the WWE Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 32 is a moment he will never ever forget because it was very special to him.
Matt Cardona said:
“I ended up winning the Intercontinental title. My dad genuinely jumped the guardrail and slid into the ring. It’s a moment I will never ever forget. That moment was very very special to me.”
