Matt Hardy's Contract With AEW Reportedly Expiring This Month

-- A veteran AEW star's contract with the company is set to expire in the near future. Former multi-time champion and legend Matt Hardy's current deal with AEW is running out this month, according to a report by fightfulselect.com after he signed a four-year contract back in 2020.

-- AEW and the 49-year old Hardy have engaged in discussions about the expiring contract, but there's no word on if the two sides are working towards a new agreement or if there is even any interest from either side to extend the relationship. Hardy was a frequent competitor for AEW in 2023 but has only wrestled one match in 2024, lengthening a streak of wrestling at least one match in every year for the last 30 years.

-- Meanwhile, Jeff Hardy's contract with AEW was expected to mirror that of Matt's and run out at the same time, but due to injuries and various periods of inactivity, he has had time added to his deal and thus, is committed for more time beyond March 2024.
