WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley recently announced on his Instagram account that he is providing voiceover work for an upcoming documentary about deathmatches, created by the Philippou Brothers and A24. Foley also shared a photo of himself working on the film.
This is what Mick Foley wrote, “DEATHMATCH DOC! Doing voiceovers for upcoming @a24 documentary #Deathmatch — I’ll do my best to be at the premiere! @michael_philippou @therackaracka”
This development follows reports that Danny and Michael Philippou are creating a documentary on deathmatch wrestling for an independent film company. The Philippou brothers are best known for their horror films "Talk to Me" and "Bring Her Back." They initially gained fame on YouTube under the name RackaRacka.
In September 2025, they filmed an Exploding Barbed Wire Match for GCW and Lucha Libre Vanguardia’s "Deathmatch Mexican Rush." Michael Philippou entered the ring to team up with Rina Yamashita against Ciclope and Miedo Extremo.
The brothers have previously mentioned that they are aiming for an early 2026 release for the documentary. However, there is currently no confirmed release date or title for the documentary. It is also unclear to what extent Mick Foley is involved—whether he will be narrating the entire film or providing voiceover for just a portion of it.
