Minoru Suzuki Talks ROH TV Title Defense On Tonight's AEW Dynamite, IWGP Title Aspirations

Minoru Suzuki spoke with Sports Illustrated to promote his ROH Television Championship defense against Samoa Joe on tonight's edition of AEW Dynamite on TBS.

During the discussion, the Japanese wrestling legend spoke about his match on tonight's show at UNO At Lakefront Arena, New Orleans, LA., as well as how he still hopes to capture the IWGP Championship.

Featured below are some of the highlights from the interview where he touches on these topics with his thoughts.

On his matchup with Samoa Joe on Dynamite tomorrow: "Many fans think this matchup is very special, but for me, I have to stay true to myself. I am here to hurt people. The opponent truly does not matter. This week, I will make Samoa Joe suffer. People are brave until they step into the ring with me. Hopefully Samoa Joe is not scared. I don’t know him well, but he will know me by the time we are done."

On still hoping to become the IWGP world heavyweight champion: "I am wrestling for New Japan Pro-Wrestling. And that is what I want—I am aiming for the IWGP title."
