The Miz is one proud husband.
Despite coming up short in the battle of "The Grit Couple" versus "The It Couple" at the 35th annual WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view on Saturday night, the veteran WWE Superstar took to social media to share some touching thoughts about the impressive performance that his better-half, Maryse, put forth in the aforementioned mixed tag-team match.
"I am so incredibly proud of Maryse," wrote The Miz regarding the ring outing that the former WWE Divas Champion gave in their match against Edge and Beth Phoenix this weekend. "Last night, I had the honor of tagging with one of the best performers WWE has ever seen."
The proud husband continued, "Every time I’m around her she never fails to impress me. Her physical beauty is unmatched. Her drive and passion is in a class of its own. Maryse’s ability and confidence to get back into the ring after having only 1 match in the past 10 years is unbelievable and admirable - mind you without missing a step."
"You are a superstar in the ring and out," he added. "I love you. Thank you for being such a strong role model for our girls and for so many more around the world."
The Miz concluded, "Last night was awesome."
