The Miz Unsuccessful With MITB Briefcase Cash-In At WWE TLC, Drew McIntyre Retains WWE Title

Despite a Money In The Bank cash-in at WWE TLC 2020, "The Scottish Warrior" left the ThunderDome inside Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida with the WWE Championship at the year-end pay-per-view event on Sunday evening.

Drew McIntyre defeated AJ Styles and The Miz, who was added to what became an impromptu triple-threat TLC match for the WWE title after the latter cashed in his Money In The Bank briefcase at an opportune time during the opening contest at Sunday night's WWE PPV show.

The match saw Miz and John Morrison come out half-way through the bout, where Miz cashed in his MITB briefcase while McIntyre was down and out after being put through a table outside of the ring.

Unfortunately, they didn't pick the right time, as "The Phenomenal" bodyguard known as Omos got involved, and when all was said-and-done, it was McIntyre who ascended the ladder and retrieved the title belt to win the match and leave the event as the reigning title-holder.
