MJF's Profile Removed From AEW Roster Page & Contract Expires Today, Update On His Status

Maxwell Jacob Friedman is no longer the AEW World Champion.

Maxwell Jacob Friedman is no longer the ROH World Tag-Team Champion.

And Maxwell Jacob Friedman is no longer listed on the official All Elite Wrestling website.

In an interesting move, MJF's profile has been removed from the official AEW roster page, indicating that he will be taking some time off at the very least.

At the AEW Worlds End 2023 pay-per-view on Saturday night, MJF lost the AEW World Championship to Samoa Joe, who will now hold the redesigned title belt to begin ushering in the new era of AEW in 2024.

After losing the title, it was revealed that Adam Cole was "The Devil," and that his henchmen were Wardlow, Roderick Strong and the new ROH World Tag-Team Champions, The Kingdom.

MJF's contract with AEW is scheduled to expire today, January 1, 2024, however it is believed that he has already quietly re-signed a new long-term deal with the company.
