Monday Night Raw Quick Recap for 11/23/2020
For those of you who want just the quick results and don't want the details of matches, this is a quick recap of tonight's show. There are spoilers for tonight's show below.
- In a Raw Tag Team Championship Match, the New Day defeated the Hurt Business. This match ran roughly half an hour and was a solid tag match. A double count-out led to the match being restarted, with the champs retaining.
- Adam Pearce announced a trio of singles matches, with the winners advancing to a triple-threat match next week. The winner of that will go on to face Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship.
- The first qualifier saw Matt Riddle take on Sheamus. Riddle won after a very slow-paced match, and advanced.
- The Firefly Fun House had a special dedication to Friendship Frog. RIP Friendship Frog, 1980-2020. (just YouTube it or catch the clip on WWE.com)
- In an impromptu match for the Raw Women's Championship, Asuka retained by DQ as Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler (who were on commentary) attacked her.
- In another impromptu match, Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax challenged Asuka & Lana to a match. Asuka and Lana somehow proved victorious over the tag champs.
- The second qualifier saw Keith Lee take on Bobby Lashley. Keith Lee won by DQ when MVP attacked Lee in the ring.
- Alexa Bliss defeated Nikki Cross.
- We had a video package of the farewell to the Undertaker at last night's Survivor Series.
- The third qualifier saw Randy Orton take on AJ Styles. Styles won with a phenomenal Phenomenal Forearm after a distraction caused by the Fiend. Don't be shocked to see Fiend vs Orton at the next ppv event.
