Monday Night Raw Quick Recap for 1/25/2021

Matches Tonight: 9 (11, if you count each individual Gauntlet match)
  • Charlotte Flair defeated Shayna Baszler by disqualification when, moments into the match, Nia Jax attacked Flair to break up an attempted Figure Four submission. This led to a brawl with Dana Brooke & Mandy Rose attempting to make the save for Charlotte, and Lacey Evans attempting to help Jax & Baszler.
  • Charlotte Flair, Dana Brooke & Mandy Rose defeated the team of Lacey Evans, Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler by count-out. The match was sloppy and it looked as if the count-out ending was perhaps wrong.
  • Lacey Evans, Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler defeated the team of Charlotte Flair, Dana Brooke & Mandy Rose by pinfall after Adam Pearce restarted the match during the commercial break.
  • Xavier Woods defeated Slapjack of Retribution. Afterwards, Ali told Woods to tell Kingston (who's out with injury) that Ali is taking his place in the Rumble.
  • Sheamus defeated John Morrison with the White Noise. Immediately afterwards, the Miz challenged Sheamus to a handicapped match then and there, and Sheamus accepted.
  • The Miz & Morrison defeated Sheamus in a two-on-one handicapped match that did not use a tag format.
  • AJ Styles defeated R-Truth by submission with the calf crusher.
  • The Hurt Business Gauntlet Match saw Matt Riddle taking on Shelton Benjamin, Cedric Alexander and MVP of the Hurt Business--with the promise that, if he wins, he'll get a future shot at the United States Championship held by Lashley. This is the order of opponents and outcome: First up was Shelton Benjamin who would've won if Cedric Alexander hadn't inadvertently caused a distraction. As MVP entered the ring and yelled at Alexander to do nothing, Riddle rolled MVP up to end the second match in a matter of seconds. After a commercial break, the third and final gauntlet opponent--Cedric Alexander--took on Riddle, with Riddle proving victorious after Alexander, much to the chagrin of his Hurt Business friends, spent too much time showboating and was too sloppy in the ring. Riddle took advantage of this to pick up the win.
  • Our main event match was for the Raw Women's Championship, with Asuka defending against Alexa Bliss. During the match, Bliss changed character/outfits three times and had Asuka locked in the Mandible Claw, moments away from winning...until Randy Orton appeared behind her, hit her with an RKO, and ended our program.
Miscellaneous Non-Match Segments of Note:
  • The big confrontation between Drew McIntyre and Bill Goldberg, hyped for our show, was Goldberg marching down, telling Drew that he was next, and dropping his mic. They did attack
  • We had continuation of the Ric Flair & Lacey Evans/Charlotte Flair contention, with Lacey even attacking Charlotte as Charlotte spoke with her dad.
  • More strife between Cedric Alexander and his Hurt Business comrades.
  • Edge updated us on his condition. Long story short, he's entering himself into the Royal Rumble.
