Monday Night Raw Quick Recap for October 18, 2021
Matches Tonight: Eight
- King of the Ring Semi-Final: Jinder Mahal vs Xavier Woods. Woods picked up the win after a solid back-and-forth match. Woods faces Finn at Crown Jewel in the finals. 8:18-8:29pm EST.
- Singles Match: Jeff Hardy vs Austin Theory. R-Truth accepted Theory's challenge, but not on behalf of himself as we were led to believe--but instead for Jeff Hardy. Theory picked up the win over the veteran once again. 8:41-8:48pm EST.
- Tag Match: WWE Champion Big E & Drew McIntyre vs the Dirty Dawgs. Our champ and his future challenger picked up the win after yet another solid match. 9:01-9:14pm EST.
- Singles Match: Mansoor vs Cedric Alexander w/ Shelton Benjamin. Mansoor won the short back-and-forth match. 9:25-9:28pm EST.
- Non-Title Tag Match: Raw Tag Champions RK-Bro vs the Street Profits. Great back-and-forth match that ended in DQ when Omos and Styles attacked both teams. 9:50-10:00pm EST.
- Queen's Crown Semi-Final: DouDrop vs Shayna Baszler. Doudrop won the short match after countering a Kirifuda Clutch hold into a pin. She will face Zelina Vega in the finals this Thursday. 10:10-13pm EST.
- Singles Match: Finn Bálor vs Mace. Mace mostly dominated, but Bálor picked up the win with his trifecta combo (Sling Blade, Shotgun Dropkick, Coup de Grace). 10:23-10:26pm EST.
- Raw Women's Championship Main Event Match: Charlotte Flair(c) vs Bianca Belair. After a great match, Belair won by DQ when Flair used a foreign object. Flair retained and will take the Raw title to SmackDown this Friday. 10:39-11:02pm EST.
Miscellaneous Non-Match Segments of Note:
- Raw Season Premiere: Next Monday's Raw? It's a new season, yes it is!
- No Holds Barred Interview: Ahead of their No Holds Barred match at Crown Jewel, Goldberg continued the disturbing trend of threatening to murder Lashley.
- WCW 2.0 (and it's not AEW!): Halloween Havoc will have Chucky, the killer doll, as a special guest. No word yet as to whether we can expect an appearance by Robocop.
- Name Change & Return: Bearcat Lee, fka Keith Lee, returns to Raw during our season premiere next week. Also added to the new Raw roster? Mia Yim!
- 18-49 Demo Argument, Resolved: For those who think the WWE cares about the "coveted" 18-49 demo, take this one "pop culture" reference from Corey Graves to heart: "James Dean cool and John Wayne tough." Meanwhile, everyone under the age of 49 collectively asks, "who?"
- King of the Ring Finals: Finn Balor vs Xavier Woods
- Queen's Crown Finals: Doudrop vs Zelina Vega
