More Than 100 of WWE's Employees Were Let Go This Week

As previously reported, WWE's Japan division (WWE Japan LLC) was dissolved on Thursday, September 2nd and all the investors agreed to the disbandment of the WWE Japan LLC division via a “Public Notice of Dissolution” in a Government Bulletin that was also dated September 2nd.

According to Yahoo News Japan, the decision to dissolve WWE's Japan division has affected the jobs of over 100 employees, which means that these employees were let go. The article also states that it was decided that WWE's Japan division will be dissolved due to management problems brought about by COVID and that according to the U.S. media, it is part of the organizational change due to the pandemic.

This appears to be a big setback for the WWE as they had plans of expanding their NXT brand in places such as Japan, Canada, and Australia. The WWE has so far only expanded to the UK and given the issues right now, it does not look like there are any plans to expand the NXT brand soon.
