More Backstage Details on Tony Khan Approving AEW Wrestlers to Appear on WWE Monday Night Raw

-- The latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter has more details on the recent deal between WWE and AEW which allowed current AEW wrestlers from appearing on Monday Night Raw with video messages in celebration of John Cena's 20 years with WWE.

-- The story notes that on 6/24, Bruce Prichard called Tony Khan and inquired whether he would be open to the idea of having video clips of Chris Jericho, Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan), Paul Wight (Big Show) and Mark Henry air on Raw. Khan concluded that it sounded like WWE was putting on a good show and it was a nice deal given his respect for Cena. He ended up giving his approval but ultimately left it up to the talent if they wanted to do the video.

-- Megha Parekh, Chief Legal Officer for AEW, contacted Jericho, Danielson, Wight and Henry telling them that Khan had agreed to it but that the final decision was theirs. All four agreed to submit videos, but in the end WWE aired them all on Monday Night Raw except for Henry's.
