-- The WWE Women's division has been in the news a lot lately, with reports suggesting that many of WWE's female wrestlers expressing frustration at the recent direction of the division. Fightfulselect.com had a new report yesterday which further elaborated on these reports.
-- According to their report, several women on WWE's roster pointed to the following elements that were the source of much frustration: the lack of focus on developing contenders, the women's tag team division and the lack of screen time for ladies that are not at the very top of the roster. The frustrations were amplified when comparing all of this to what happens on WWE's NXT brand where talent have noticed significant screen time for the entire division.
-- Another element that was a point of frustration was "redundant storylines", specifically with the same wrestlers being featured not just in the main event picture but recycled within the mid-card title scene as well. Wrestlers who spoke on this noted that while they are happy for those who are getting exposure and not complaining that "they're getting too much time", it's more along the lines that more time should be dedicated to wrestlers outside of the elite group.
-- Fightfulselect.com also reported that Sonya Deville's exit from the company didn't instil a lot of confidence in some wrestlers as Deville was negotiating a new contract before WWE decided that they didn't want to keep her around, and had apparently told her just days prior that they were looking to retain her services. Deville's departure has sparked some worry among those women who aren't being used and while they have repeatedly asked about creative plans for them, the message they have been getting is that "their time would be coming" and to remain patient.
