– Rumors of CM Punk’s return to AEW continue to gain traction and according to multiple sources, AEW’s rumored new Saturday show would feature Punk as the main draw, while also keeping him largely away from The Elite.
– Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast noted that the Saturday show is set for primetime and will be called “Collision” and that Punk’s return to TV is scheduled for either the debut of the show or that week’s Rampage. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that the Saturday should be more or less a soft roster split and that the aim is to alleviate dressing room problems by keeping different crews on each show, preventing them from interacting with each other.
– Meanwhile, fightfulselect.com continues to report that Punk is very much open to working with not only The Elite (Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks) but also Chris Jericho, whom Punk has had numerous issues with in the past. It was reported that Punk and Jericho have a meeting set up to work out their differences while Punk was also pushing for a meeting with the Young Bucks, but they didn’t seem very keen on working with Punk moving forward.
