More Details Emerge On WWE Employee Meeting; Negative Reaction to Vince's Talk

Vince McMahon

-- It's been a day since WWE held their employee in-person meeting at their new headquarters in Stamford, CT and details on what was said are still trickling in. Below are even more notes via pwinsider.com:

  • Vince McMahon's comment about WWE hitting a plateau and needing the Endeavor alliance to take it to the "next level" continues to be met with discontent. Most did not believe McMahon as business was doing great and actually up since McMahon left to the point that the Board of Directors rejected his initial attempts to return, something they would not have done if business declined after his departure.
  • McMahon also continues to be viewed as someone who bullied his way back in to the company since he had majority power and ultimately led to Stephanie McMahon's resignation. The report noted that there was "a lot of sympathy" for both Stephanie and husband Paul "Triple H" Levesque.
  • Levesque did not formally speak to any of the employees while he was on stage during the presentation but hung around after to talk individually to anyone who wanted to chat with him.
  • The number of attendees was well over one hundred, with some suggesting it was in the vicinity of 300-400. Some of those who attended, it was their first time in the new headquarters as their department is still located in the old building.
  • Vince McMahon, who recently underwent major back surgery, was said to still be recovering from the procedure based on the way he was moving.
  • For those wondering, the company did serve snacks and refreshments to employees.
