More Details on WWE Trying to Sell WrestleMania & PPVs to Third Party Services

— On its latest earnings conference call, WWE made little mention of its attempts to sell WrestleMania (and other PPVs) to a third party streaming service. For WrestleMania, they ended up working out a deal with FOX to stream the show but at $34.99, it was a curious decision because non-network subscribers who wanted to watch the event could simply sign up for the network and watch it for free. It is believed the number of people who paid the $34.99 to watch it on FOX Sports is extremely low but the company is still looking to strike a deal to sell the streaming rights, however, the COVID-19 pandemic is still proving to be the most significant barrier to any sort of agreement according to company.
