In case there was any confusion on the circumstances surrounding her exit, it has been confirmed by multiple sources that Irvin basically quit the company by resigning from her position. Her parting with WWE was not something initiated by the promotion in any way and nobody quite knows why she decided to leave abruptly.
-- Fightfulselect.com reports that almost everyone backstage had great things to say about Irvin, praising her both before her departure announcement and after with one person saying that her presence "made the work day better." Many WWE staff were surprised by the news but there were others who were closer to her that claimed this was a move that was in the works for about a month, especially when her husband/fiancee Ricochet left the company.
-- Ricochet responded to rumors that Irvin was exiting WWE to join him in AEW by shooting down those reports but fightfulselect.com reported that multiple sources in both WWE and AEW said they would be shocked if AEW didn't reach out to try and make that happen. As of this time, Irvin has yet to make any comments about her motivation for resigning.
