More on Scott Hall's Death; Pandemic Isolation Led to Decline in Health

– Speaking to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Sean “X-Pac” Waltman discussed the recent death of his close friend, Scott Hall. Waltman noted that Hall had not been doing well the last two years, pointing to the COVID-19 pandemic, being isolated in his home with no social interaction and began deteriorating due to drinking. At one point about a month ago, he says that he even offered to come live with Hall due to his condition.

– Prior to being hospitalized, Hall had fallen and broke his hip, leaving him unable to move or get to the phone to call for help. Waltman stated that Hall was forced to lay there for a few days before worried friends told Diamond Dallas Page to go and check on him after they were unsuccessful in reaching him. Page found him on the floor and rushed him to hospital.

– At the hospital in Marietta, GA, Hall was diagnosed with a broken hip and underwent surgery but during it developed a blood clot. This led to three heart attacks causing him to be put on life support. By March 13 in the morning, family members had come to the realization that he would not be able to make it out of the ordeal and confided that much to his close friends. Family and friends were then alerted to come and see him or say goodbye over the phone and at about noon, he was taken off life support and ended up passing away in the early evening.
