More on Why Two NXT Wrestlers Competed in Dark Matches Last Night Prior to Smackdown

-- In a followup to a previous headline about a couple of NXT stars backstage at Smackdown last night and working dark matches, Karrion Kross wrestled Dolph Ziggler and Bronson Reed took on Bobby Roode. The matches were taped for "future evaluations" with no plans at all to make them available for public viewing either on TV or as a network special. Kross (and Scarlett) were discussed as possibly being brought next week to do more promos and pwinsider.com speculates that their presence likely has to do with the upcoming WWE draft (scheduled for late August, early September) in which they will surely be bringing up some NXT stars to add to either the Raw or Smackdown brands. Bringing in Kross, Scarlett and Reed (and likely other NXT talent over the coming weeks) is part of that evaluation process to determine who would be a good fit on either of the main rosters.
