Multiple CMLL Wrestlers Could See Their US Work Visas Revoked

-- Several wrestlers affiliated with CMLL are facing potential restrictions on their ability to work in the United States stemming from a miscommunication with the indie promotion, Full Blown Pro Wrestling which is based in Texas. According to a PWInsider.com report, the US government is currently in the process of revoking work visas for several luchadors, including those who have recently been featured on AEW shows.

-- The Lucha Blog has identified individuals such as Soberano Jr, Templario, Volador Jr, Hechicero, Blue Panther, and Mascara Dorada as those at risk of losing their US work visas. Additionally, PWInsider lists Dulce Gardenia, El Sagrado, El Suicida, Electrico, Espiritu Negro, Euforia, Fugaz, Gemelo Diablo 1 and 2, Magico, Robin, Sangre Imperial, and referee Saga as facing similar visa cancellations.

-- This situation stems from a communication breakdown between CMLL and Full Blown Pro Wrestling which had been sponsoring the visas up until now. After being contacted by the US Department of Homeland Security regarding the visa applications, the promotion's owner Jerry Cadena was made aware of unspecified issues flagged by Homeland Security and they cautioned him about potential accusations of fraud related to these issues.

-- When Cadena brought this up with CMLL, they assured him they would address the matter, however, since then, Cadena has received no further communication from the promotion. He reportedly then informed Homeland Security of his termination of any agreements with CMLL and ceased his involvement with them, effective today, February 28 leading to the current predicament where the wrestlers may see their visas canceled.
