Natalya Undergoes Surgery, Timetable For Her In-Ring Return

It was previously reported that a Women's Tag Team Championship Contenders Match took place this past Monday night on RAW between the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Natalya and Tamina Snuka and Eva Marie and Doudrop, who were looking to earn a future opportunity at the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles. At one point during the match, Natalya and Doudrop were going at it when all of a sudden it looked like one-half of the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Natalya injured her right leg due to a roll-over, or maybe even a stomp courtesy of Doudrop.

Natalya then tagged out of the match and Tamina ended the match having a 1-on-2 disadvantage, but she still managed to secure a huge pinfall victory after superkicking Eva Marie following Lilly appearing on the big screen and causing a distraction. Immediately after the match, Natalya, who could not walk under her own power, was helped to the back by Tamina and a ringside medic.

PWInsider.com would then report that Natalya suffered an ankle injury and she is scheduled to undergo an MRI some time this week. Natalya also revealed on her Instagram that she was taking a flight to an unknown location and it was speculated that Natalya was on her way to the Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham, Alabama, where talents are sent by the WWE to get checked out after suffering an injury.

Natalya recently took to her Twitter and revealed that she needs to undergo surgery to fix the injury she suffered on RAW. It was then indicated that after Natalya got an MRI the results were better than expected and that she is only expected to be out of action for a few weeks. It was also revealed that the WWE will not strip Natalya and Tamina of their titles as Natalya will only be needing a few weeks to heal.
