Nationwide Arena Reveals SmackDown Women's Title Match For WWE Extreme Rules

Last night's Friday Night SmackDown episode, which was the post-SummerSlam edition, saw a Fatal 4-Way Elimination Matchup take place between Zelina Vega, Carmella, Liv Morgan and Bianca Belair, where The EST Of WWE came out of the match with a monumental victory as she has now been named as the brand-new #1 Contender to the SmackDown Women's Title. At this past Sunday's SummerSlam Event, Becky Lynch made her surprise return and defeated Bianca Belair in just 26 seconds to become the new SmackDown Women's Champion.

The Nationwide Arena, which is the site of the upcoming WWE Extreme Rules PPV Event, recently made an announcement that SmackDown Women's Champion "The Man" Becky Lynch will be defending her championship against "The EST Of WWE" Bianca Belair at WWE Extreme Rules Event. As of this writing, WWE has yet to confirm or make this match official, but they did announce that Belair has earned a future title shot and there is no word yet on if this match will have a stipulation or if it will just be a regular WWE SmackDown Women's Title Match.

WWE Extreme Rules is set to take place on Sunday, September 26 from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.
