-- NBA star Dwight Howard had a brief chat with TMZ and while he still hasn't officially retired from the NBA, he told the outlet that his wrestling career is over before it even started.
-- Howard revealed that he is no longer pursuing wrestling after wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair advised him not to due to the frail nature of his knees:
"I was talking to Ric Flair. He said I don't know if my knees is good for wrestling. My knees feel good, it’s just wrestling. You’re talking about picking up 300-pound dudes and all that stuff. Nobody wants to do that for their whole life!"
-- Back in the summer of 2022, Howard participated in a pre-SummerSlam tryout staying around for hours while cutting some reportedly impressive promos that had many believing he was destined for a career in the ring.
