He tried to pull out all the tricks he had up his sleeve, but ultimately, The Miz lost his title during this week's episode of RAW. The NEW WWE champion finally got his one-on-one during RAW's main event match-up!
During the March 1, 2021 edition of WWE Monday Night RAW, there were technically TWO matches for the WWE Championship Title. A failed attempt at talking MVP and Lashley into waiting to have the match "on the grandest stage of them all" after waiting 17 years for a title opportunity led to the first title match of the evening. The Miz retained his title by allowing himself to be counted out by grabbing his title and literally running off backstage as soon as the bell rang.
This was the second time Miz snuck by as an hour prior he complained of a tum-tum ache and stated he was unable to go through with the match. Shane McMahon listened to an outraged MVP and Bobby Lashley (the technical "winner" of the first title match, but title didn't exchange hands) and then made the second WWE Championship title match a Lumberjack Match, giving The Miz nowhere to run. Lashley dominated the match and forced The Miz to tap after being put in The Hurt Lock.
Congratulations to the NEW WWE Championship Title holder, representing The Hurt Business, Bobby Lashley!
