News On Another Promotion Possibly Being A Part Of AEW And NJPW's Forbidden Door 2 Event

As previously reported, the first two matchups were made official for AEW and NJPW's Forbidden Door 2 Event shortly following NJPW's Dominion Event and those matchups are AEW's Bryan Danielson facing top NJPW Star and one-third of the current NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Champions Kazuchika Okada in Singles action and IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega putting his IWGP United States Heavyweight Title on the line against The United Empire's Will Ospreay.

There were reports made last week that STARDOM had a conversation with AEW about having their talents apppear on the upcoming Forbidden Door 2 Event, with one of their talents taking on AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm in Singles action, but there were a number of hindrances between STARDOM and AEW.

According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, officials from STARDOM have said that there have not been any discussions between their side and AEW about their wrestlers possibly appearing at Forbidden Door and none of the STARDOM wrestlers have Canadian Visas, which can take a long time to process, so they won’t be able to make the trip. Another hindrance STARDOM and AEW are facing is the fact that STARDOM will be holding their own PPV known as STARDOM SUNSHINE 2023 on June 25th, which is the same day that Forbidden Door is set to take place. AEW and NJPW's Forbidden Door 2 Event will take place on Sunday, June 25th from inside the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
