News On Site Fee And Tax Credits WWE Received For WrestleMania 42

According to POST Wrestling, WWE received a $6 million site fee from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) for this past weekend's WrestleMania 42 event. This site fee was noted to be $1 million more than what WWE received for WrestleMania 41, which also took place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas last year.

The report also indicates that WWE received a tax credit of $4,314,821 for the event, approved by the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development. For comparison, WWE’s tax credits for last year’s show amounted to $4,240,456. In total, WWE garnered over $10 million in expected incentives for hosting the two-day event in Las Vegas. As part of its tax credit application, WWE stated that it anticipated spending over $35 million on WrestleMania and its SmackDown and RAW TV shows.

These incentive details were obtained through a public records request to the LVCVA in February, and the agency provided the records on Tuesday evening after the conclusion of WrestleMania 42. The LVCVA refers to the site fee as a “sponsor fee” in its contract with WWE, guaranteeing a minimum of 300,000 square feet of convention space for WWE World and the Superstore.

WrestleMania 42 was initially announced for New Orleans. However, WWE ultimately decided to move the event to Allegiant Stadium. WWE has previously stated that WrestleMania 42 is one of the highest-grossing events in the company's history.
