-- On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, some news about how WWE is running the ThunderDome wsa revealed. The basic gist is that WWE is directing the fans when to cheer and boo by having a “fan coordinator” on the headset who is heard by all the fan participants. He or she then gives instructions during specific moments such as telling everyone to put their thumbs down which is why it looks coordinated on TV despite there being thousands of fans sitting in their respective homes oblivious to what anyone else may be ready to do. Most of the time, the fans just sit around doing nothing and the noise is piped in but every now and then, everyone will end up booing or cheering or chanting and that’s when the coordinator is telling them to do that.
-- WWE wasn’t happy with the way things played out on Friday’s Smackdown but they are going to keep at it until they “get it right” though the one problem that remains is that it’s still difficult to tell who is getting over and who isn’t due to the artificial audience.
