News on WWE's Original WrestleMania 35 Main Event & Rousey's Opponent

-- As far as the WrestleMania 35 main event is concerned, the original plans did not have any women in the main event despite previous speculation suggesting that WWE had tentatively booked Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair in that slot (before Becky Lynch's run). According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Roman Reigns was actually supposed to be in the main event in a yet-to-be-determined match in whatever direction WWE had in mind for him.

-- The Observer speculates that it "probably would have been Ambrose but that's not a sure thing" mainly because Ambrose's turn was supposed to be on Reigns rather than Seth Rollins. (On a sidenote, another backstage rumor from an independent source was that before Reigns was written out of storylines, WWE was hoping to do a Shield triple threat match at WrestleMania).

-- The Observer also adds that the direction for Ronda Rousey was for her to face Natalya on the women's side at WrestleMania, so take that for what it's worth. Sound off in the comments below if you think this report is true and if WWE would really have put Natalya in such a high profile match against Rousey at WrestleMania!
