Rock 'N' Roll legend Alice Cooper recently took to his Twitter and announced that his guitarist, Nita Strauss, who has performed in WWE in the past, will be making an appearance on Night One of TakeOver: Stand And Deliver to open the PPV and sing The National Anthem.
Cooper wrote, “I know what it takes to create a spectacle with @WWE. I’m excited to have our very own @hurricanenita open #NXTTakeOver Stand & Deliver Night 1 with our National Anthem. Play it proud, play it #NXTLOUD! [American flag emoji] [snake emoji] [eye in speech bubble x 2].”
WWE COO Triple H then responded to Alice Cooper's tweet and commented, “LOUD recognizes LOUD. Honored to @hurricanenita open up an epic night 1 of #NXTTakeOver: Stand & Deliver! #WeAreNXT #WWENXT”
Nita Strauss has performed for WWE in the past including the entrance theme song of Shinsuke Nakamura at WrestleMania 34. Strauss has also performed with Lzzy Hale to kick off the WWE Evolution PPV Event back in 2018. Strauss has also provided theme songs for NXT, which includes her Mariana Trench single for the 2018 TakeOver: War Games Event.
Strauss then took to Twitter herself and wrote, “IT’S TRUE!!! I am incredibly excited to get on stage to kick off #Wrestlemania week this Wednesday with the National Anthem at #NXTTakeover Stand & Deliver [fist emoji] Time to get #NXTLOUD!!!! #WeAreNXT @WWENXT @WWE”
There is no word yet on if there will be a National Anthem performance for Night Two of TakeOver, but updates will be provided as it becomes available.
