According to Tokyo Sports, the legendary Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan is set to celebrate their 60th birthday on Friday, April 15, 2022 and Saturday, April 16, 2022 with a festival and a joint wrestling show. The festival on April 15 will be a Women’s Wrestling Dream Festival, while the show on April 16 will be a joint pro wrestling show held by New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) and All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW).
The venue has held a number of iconic and historic combat sports and pro wrestling shows in it's long history and Korakuen Hall has even hosted the 1964 Summer Olympics boxing events. The legendary venue opened on April 16, 1962 and much like Korakuen Hall celebrating it's birthday in 2022, both NJPW and AJPW will also be celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2022.
As of this writing, no matches have been announced for the joint NJPW and AJPW pro wrestling show and the Women’s Wrestling Dream Festival, but updates will be provided once it has been made available.
