NJPW recently had their Sakura Genesis 2023 Event, which took place from inside the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan. The show saw "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada defend his IWGP World Heavyweight Title against SANADA in the main event.

- The United Empire (Francesco Akira, Aaron Henare and Jeff Cobb) def. House Of Torture (SHO, Yujiro Takahashi and EVIL) in a 6-Man Tag Team Match.
- Just Five Guys (DOUKI, Yoshinobu Kanemaru and Taichi) def. Los Ingobernables de Japon (BUSHI, Shingo Takagi and Tetsuya Naito) in a 6-Man Tag Team Match.
- Bullet Club (El Phantasmo, KENTA and David Finlay) def. Master Wato, Hikuleo and Tama Tonga in a 6-Man Tag Team Match. After the match, Bullet Club beats down El Phantasmo.
- Mercedes Moné (c) def. AZM and Hazuki in a 3-Way Match to retain her IWGP Women’s Championship.
- Zack Sabre Jr. (c) def. Shota Umino to retain his NJPW WORLD TV Championship.
- Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis) def. Bishamon (YOSHI-HASHI and Hirooki Goto) (c) to become the new IWGP Tag Team Champions.
- Hiromu Takahashi (c) def. Robbie Eagles to retain his IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship.
- SANADA def. Kazuchika Okada (c) to become the new IWGP World Heavyweight Champion.
