NJPW Star El Phantasmo Reveals Cancer Diagnosis; Will Miss Upcoming Events

-- NJPW announced yesterday that El Phantasmo will be out of action indefinitely due to a health concern and will miss events this week on November 2 and 4. Their statement did not provide context but is below:

“EL Phantasmo, who was scheduled to wrestle this week on the Super Jr. Tag League Tour and at Power Struggle November 4, will be taking indefinite leave due to a health concern. We apologise to fans who were looking forward to seeing Phantasmo wrestle, and appreciate your understanding."

-- Soon after, ELP himself posted to social media revealing that the health concern is actually because doctors have found "a little tumour of cancer" which he is presumably going to be starting treatment for right away.
