NJPW recently held their Wrestling Dontaku 2022 Event from inside the Fukuoka Dome in Fukuoka, Japan. The show featured IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada defending his title against Tetsuya Naito in the main event.

- Bullet Club (Bad Luck Fale and Chase Owens) def. The United Empire (Jeff Cobb and Great-O-Khan) (c) and CHAOS (YOSHI-HASHI and Hirooki Goto) in a Triple Threat Match to become the new IWGP Tag Team Champions.
- Tama Tonga def. EVIL (c) to become the new NEVER Openweight Champion.
- Taiji Ishimori def. El Desperado (c) to become the new IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion.
- Hiroshi Tanahashi def. Tomohiro Ishii to become the new IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion.
- Kazuchika Okada (c) def. Tetsuya Naito to retain his IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.
