– On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Brock Lesnar’s blood spot at Backlash was discussed. Dave Meltzer noted that while WWE is staying away from blood, Lesnar has his own set of rules and if he wants to blade during a match, WWE has given him the green light to do that.
– In response to the report yesterday about WWE possibly running events in Puerto Rico on an annual basis, on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that this is probably unlikely as WWE will only come back if the country’s tourism board ponies up the cash. He went on to state that usually tourism boards don’t use their money to bring in the same act every year, choosing instead to allocate their funds towards different initiatives.
-- Meltzer cautioned that WWE could still run house shows in Puerto Rico but for premium live events, they will want to be paid in that $1 million to $1.5 million rate that it is believed they got for Backlash. The only exception WWE makes is running London where they don’t get paid by a tourism board and bring a major event there when they “feel like it’s time to do it.”
