As noted, Randy Orton took the top spot on the all-time most WWE pay-per-view matches list with his tag-team bout as RK-Bro against The Usos at this month's WWE Survivor Series 2021 event.
"The Viper" took the number one spot with 177 matches, breaking the tie he had with Kane at 176 with the aforementioned PPV tag-team match.

In terms of all-time most PPV matches in wrestling in general, AJ Styles holds the top spot with 289 PPV bouts. This includes matches in WWE, IMPACT Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling. It's worth noting, however, that in the early years of IMPACT Wrestling, the promotion ran weekly PPVs, which would obviously bolster his number.
In second place is James Storm with 228 matches on PPV, with bouts in IMPACT Wrestling, the National Wrestling Alliance and NJPW.
If you don't include ROH, IMPACT Wrestling or the NWA, Chris Jericho would have the most with 187 PPV matches in WWE, World Championship Wrestling, All Elite Wrestling and NJPW.
Other top names would include The Undertaker at 183 (including his matches in WCW), Big Show and Triple H at 180 and Rey Mysterio at 160.
If you do include IMPACT Wrestling PPV matches, Jeff Jarrett would have 179 and Kurt Angle would have 178.
