This past Saturday night at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida, UFC 261 took place, where we saw UFC Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman knock Jorge Masvidal out in Round 2 of the main event. We also saw Rose Namajunas knock Zhang Weili out with a brutal head kick in the evening's co-main event to reclaim her Strawweight Title. UFC 261 marked the return of a full-capacity crowd of 15,000 people for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic started.
A number of celebrities and athletes attended the event, including NXT Champion Karrion Kross and his wife, Scarlett Bordeaux. The NXT Champion took to his Twitter account and posted a few video clips in which he could be heard yelling due to excitement.
