FWIW, and I say this as a person who watched it--this event turned out much better than I expected going in to this. The tag title and men's & women's championship co-main events are worth watching if you enjoy a good, fun match.
NXT Heatwave 2024 Quick Recap for July 7, 2024
Matches Tonight: Six (approx. 82 minutes)
- Tag Team Match Jacy Jayne & Jazmyn Nix vs Arianna Grace & Karmen Petrovic. Toronto natives Arianna Grace & Karmen Petrovic picked up the easy victory. 6:42-6:49pm EST (kickoff show match, 7 minutes).
- NXT North American Championship Match: Oba Femi(c) vs Wes Lee. Solid match that got much better as it went on. Oba Femi won and, due to the special stipulation involved, Wes Lee cannot challenge Femi for the North American title again. 7:08-7:24 pm EST (16 minutes).
- NXT North American Women's Championship Match: Kelani Jordan(c) vs Sol Ruca. Impressive match, better than you would expect. Worth watching, and Jordan retained. 7:34-7:45pm EST (11 minutes).
- NXT Tag Team Championship Match: Nathan Frazer &m Axiom(c) vs Duke U. Very exciting match of the night, if you only watch one of these six--watch this one. The champs retained in exciting fashion. 7:58-8:15pm EST (17 minutes).
- NXT Women's Championship Match: Roxanne Perez(c) vs Lola Vice. Another good match that got great as it went on, and worth the watch. The champ retained, which has been the theme tonight. 8:32-8:45pm EST (13 minutes).
- NXT Championship Fatal 4-Way Match: Trick Williams(c) vs Je'Von Evans vs Ethan Page vs Shawn Spears. Another incredible match that saw Ethan Page become the new champion (you have to YouTube the ending). 9:05-9:23pm EST (18 minutes).
