During the Wednesday, May 13, 2020 episode of NXT on USA Network, Triple H and Shawn Michaels announced the NXT TakeOver: In Your House special will take place at Full Sail University Sunday, June 7th, and stream live on the award-winning WWE Network.
The first In Your House pay-per-view took place on May 14, 1995. This began a new WWE pay-per-view tradition at a time when the WWE held just five main pay-per-views per year: Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, King of the Ring, SummerSlam and Survivor Series.
The In Your House name lasted for 29 events over four years, ending the series in February 1999 with St. Valentine's Day Massacre. After WrestleMania XV that year, the WWE went with a uniform pay-per-view schedule year-round minus the In Your House moniker, starting with April's Backlash and followed by May's Over the Edge.
After a 21 year absence, NXT will reboot the In Your House namesake, debuting it's return on June 7, 2020, this time under the NXT banner.
