Last week’s edition of NXT UK featured an outstanding battle between reigning NXT UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray, and Japanese sensation Meiko Satomura. Also, Russian competitor Ilja Dragunov snapped again, proving that the PTSD from his epic encounter with NXT UK Champion WALTER is still in effect. Jack Starz and Piper Niven vs Jinny and Joseph Connors
Tonight’s episode of NXT UK will feature the brands first ever mixed tag team match. After months of issues between Jinny and Piper Niven, both women have partnered up. “The Fashionista” has had Joseph Connors by her side over the last few weeks, and he’s repeatedly aided Jinny in her attempts to thwart Niven. Connors recently confronted Niven in a backstage segment, after the duo attempted to set up Piper. The Scottish powerhouse foiled the attack, and tried to force Sid Scala into making a handicapped match between her and the heel pair. Scala instead offered to set up a mixed tag team match, if Piper could find a partner. The up and coming Jack Starz happened to walk by, so Niven signed him up to be her partner, and Starz gladly accepted the challenge . Will Niven and her new found help be enough to finally get one over on the dastardly duo? Or do Connors and Jinny have more tricks up their sleeves?
Kenny Williams and Amir Jordan vs Mark Andrew and Flash Morgan Webster
There will also be more tag team action tonight, as former NXT UK Tag Team Champions Flash Morgan Webster and Mark Andrews take on the high flying Amir Jordan and Kenny Williams. Andrews and Webster have been trying to regain the tag championships for months, but Jordan and Williams have had their own championship aspirations. Tonight, both teams look to gain an edge on the rest of the tag team division, and move themselves into title contention. Will the former tag team champions be the next in line to face Pretty Deadly? Or will Jordan and Williams take another step towards reaching the top of the tag team mountain.
Tyler Bate vs Dave Mastiff
Another match taking place tonight will be singles action, which revolves around the NXT UK Heritage Cup. The first ever NXT UK Champion, as well as former NXT UK Tag Team Champion, has been pursuing Heritage Cup Champion A-Kid for months. Tonight, Bate will face off with the massive “Bomber” Dave Mastiff, in a match contested under Heritage Cup rules. Does “The Big Strong Boy” Tyler Bate have what it takes to defeat the much larger Mastiff? Or will the “Bomber” destroy another opponent, and move closer to claiming the Heritage Cup for himself?
Tonight will also mark the debut for one of NXT UK's most recent signings, Teoman, who will take on Danny Jones.
