Last night at TNA Turning Point, the ongoing war between TNA and WWE NXT continued with a vengeance.
The main event saw Mike Santana and Steve Maclin defeat Nic Nemeth and Frankie Kazarian, Nemeth attempted to cash in his "Call Your Shot" Gauntlet trophy, however, that never happened as NXT stars (Stacks, Charlie Demsey, Lexis King, High Ryze, Brooks Jensen and Mr. Stone) invaded the ring and attacked all four TNA stars.
TNA stars Sinner & Saint and The Hardy Boyz came out to try and even the odds but they were all overpowered by the NXT wrestlers. TNA's on-screen Director of Authority Santino Marella even attempted to intervene but he was taken out as the show went off air with the NXT wrestlers standing over the TNA stars.
The storyline will obviously continue at least into next week as it originally started at Thursday's Impact TV when NXT wrestlers interfered in the TNA World Title match. This led to Marella confronting NXT GM Ava earlier during Turning Point about whether her influence on the situation. Ava responded that she had nothing to do with the interference on Impact but would provide security to ensure it doesn't repeat at Turning Point. The matter was even escalated to the heads of each promotion with TNA President Carlos Silva and NXT Executive Shawn Michaels both promising that they would investigate the matter.
Right when @NicTNemeth was about to call his shot…
