Former NXT Star and current WWE Friday Night SmackDown commentator Pat McAfee took to Twitter towards to end of last month and revealed that he has tested positive for COVID-19. According to Pat, he woke up with a 104.5° fever despite being fully vaccinated and he must stay home for a little while and he must be isolated. Just recently, McAfee took to his Twitter and gave an update that he has now tested negative for COVID-19 and he even used a clip from his NXT match against Adam Cole to share the news.
There is no word yet on if Pat McAfee will be making his return to Super SmackDown this Friday at the legendary Madison Square Garden, but Michael Cole did note on SmackDown last Friday that McAfee could be coming back. Kevin Owens and Corey Graves have filled in for Pat McAfee at the announce table over the past two weeks with Michael Cole.
